01. Trashed, Lost & Strungout

03. Bed Of Nails (Alice Cooper cover)
04. She Is Beautiful (Andrew W.K. cover)

"The latest four-song effort from Children Of Bodom, our irrepressible Finnish friends who proudly smash beer bottles over their heads on a regular basis, is packed full of everything they're good at: kicking your ass, rocking hard, wearing their supposedly bloodless hearts on their sleeves when you least expect it and then... kicking your ass some more. They waste no time in getting things started either. The only warning given us is two taps on a crash cymbal before plunging full-force into furious up-tempo drums, brutal guitars and bass, punchy, melodious synths, and of course, Alexi A. Leiho's scream which is both vengeful and playful. This track could be prime material for moshers and interpretive dancers alike. "Knuckleduster" describes itself perfectly, fragments of old material thrown together and set to a mid-tempo beat that really doesn't seem to go anywhere. However, "Bed Of Nails" quickly picks up the slack, beginning in a cascading fountain of jangling synths, then bursting into an angry, Bon Jovi-esque power ballad-- except when Leiho resentfully grumbles in a strangely melodic voice that "no one else can make you feel like I do", you actually believe it. The EP closes with a cover of pop-metal goofball Andrew WK's "She Is Beautiful". Leiho's heavily accented English adds a comical and almost endearing effect to the song, ending the ride through Euro-death-metal mayhem on a strangely cheerful note."
